Our Story

Design Fusion Art Club was founded by two mums, both passionate Graphic Designers, who recognised the need for more creative outlets in a society where expectations—even for our youngest children—can sometimes limit their ability to explore and express themselves.

As parents, we understand the pressures of academic achievement, and how often creativity takes a back seat in the pursuit of excellence. Schools are focused on results, and parents work hard to meet the demands of daily life, leaving little room for the mess and freedom that creative expression offers.

That’s where we come in. Design Fusion Art Club provides a relaxed and supportive environment where children can be a little messy while learning new techniques that help develop critical cognitive skills useful in later life.

From painting to sewing, drawing to clay modelling, and papier mâché to jewellery making, our wide variety of activities encourages children to explore, experiment, and have fun while developing confidence and creativity. Expressing yourself has never been so much fun!

  • AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Our After School Clubs run directly after school finishes. Pupils are welcome to bring a snack, as we know they can be hungry after a long day of learning. They can enjoy their snack before the lesson begins.

To protect uniforms in case of messy art activities, we kindly ask parents to send their child with an apron or an oversized T-shirt.

Classes typically last for one hour, and pupils are dismissed to parents at the end of the session.

  • SATURDAY ART CLUB

Our Saturday Art Club is held at Mill Hill Library NW7 during Term Time and is aimed at children age 4-11.

The classes run from 11:15am – 12:30pm and cover a wide variety of skills and techniques.

  • HOLIDAY CLUBS

Our holiday Clubs take place at the end of each term and half term.

They are held in Millbrook Park School’s Art Studio and are a fun way for children to spend some time being creative and making new friends.

DONNA PICKUP
DONNA PICKUPGraphic Designer and Artist
Donna has always had a passion for art and design. She began her career as a graphic designer at Zomba Records, where she spent ten years working on album designs. In 2001, Donna decided to branch out on her own, bringing her creative skills to a wider audience.

In 2010, Donna met Vicky, and the two quickly formed a strong professional bond. Together, they co-founded Design Fusion London.

Both Donna and Vicky had children at the same school and noticed that the creative side of learning was often overlooked. With a shared vision to make a difference, they set up an Art Club at their children’s school. The club gave children the opportunity to experiment, explore, and express their creativity through various techniques and media.

The success of the Art Club marked the beginning of Design Fusion Art Club, and their journey to inspire creativity in young minds has continued ever since.

Vicky is a creative graphic and web designer with over 16 years of commercial experience. She began her career working for a popular health and beauty magazine before moving on to a large advertising agency in Central London, where she spent several years honing her design skills.

In 2010, Vicky co-founded Design Fusion London with Donna. Alongside running the business, Vicky also trained to become an Art Teacher.

Currently, she teaches Art at two schools in Mill Hill, where she’s known for her calm and practical approach. Vicky finds great joy in helping her students develop their creativity, embracing the challenges and rewards that come with nurturing young talent.

These classes are designed to help children explore their creative side and build confidence by expressing themselves through art and craft. Each session is tailored to the age and ability of the children, ensuring that every child can engage with the activities at their level.

We ask that children bring a snack and drink to eat before the class starts, and an apron or old T-shirt to cover their clothes and protect them from any mess during creative activities.

For your peace of mind, all our staff are DBS checked and Paediatric First Aid trained.
